A Note from the Author

It's still hard for me to believe...

I had dreamed of being a writer ever since I was five. But life happened, and as much as I loved writing, I never had the money or confidence to try to publish a book.

What started as a simple written project to help my homeschooling children experience the glorious Exodus story grew when I shared the story I had written with a few friends for their children to enjoy. Their enthusiastic response, combined with the need to raise funds to adopt our daughter from Ukraine, led me to tremblingly step out in faith to publish a book. When Sanctuary Light became an instant #1 bestseller on Amazon, I thought I could do one more…and the project eventually grew into a bestselling series of seven books. In each book, I sought to give readers a vision of God’s love from a new perspective.

Every time I hit “publish,” I was terrified. What if this one didn’t sell? Would everyone think it was boring? Had I woven the most crucial biblical lessons of the story?

My excitement grew as each book shot to becoming an Amazon bestseller immediately. Each success reminded me to praise the God who helped a traumatized little girl grow up to share the joyful, powerful truths about His love—truths that brought healing and freedom to me personally.

My four boisterous littles are now hulking teens and college students. A whole new generation of littles are binge-reading the books, or eagerly listening to the Tales of the Exodus read to them by their loving mommies and daddies. And an avalanche of adults have shared with me how the books have transformed their own personal perspectives on the love and power of God.

So now... I'm taking another huge leap of faith into the world of dramatized audio production.
